Sunday 18th April : South-West Athletics League - Match 1 -Great team effort and turn-out at this first match helped us to gain a very close 2nd place in this 7 team match - just 9 points behind the 'home' team Yeovil . Full results click here.

9 May 2009 : Somerset County Championships - Well done all TAC athletes who competed for TAC or their schools at the 2009 County Track&Field Champs held on 9 May. For full results check out the SCAA web-site here . Numerous outstanding performances by TAC members included new county best performances for Robin Danahar in the U17M Javelin, Blair Brown U15M 1500m steeplechase, and Izzy Jeffs in the U20W Javelin
26/27 April 2009: Somerset & Dorset Multi Events Champs.- Taunton Juniors bring home the medals. Particular congrats to our younger athletes - with Luke Reynolds taking 1st and Joe MacConnell 2nd for Taunton AC, and Flora Larkin 2nd in the U13 girls, - 
no mean feat with fields of

19 April The first SouthWest Athletics League meeting was held on Sunday 19th at Yeovil - ..... and Taunton AC came 1st overall just ahead of Yeovil Olympiads ! For Results link see our SWAL pages. Fantatistic performances all round .!
26 Mar 2009 : Somerset Schools AA held the third out of season event at end of March AT TAUNTON ATHLETICS TRACK . This third event coverred JUMPS , HURDLES AND DISTANCE events for ALL age groups from u13 to u20 inclusive; incl High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump (not u13), Sprint Hurdles, 600m and 1200m events. Sept'08: Southwest Athletics League 2008 : The fourth and final Match of the League took place on Sunday 7th September at Exeter Arena. Well Done to those of you who competed on Sunday or during previous matches this season. We finished 4th in the final fixture, and also secured a mid table position in the League series overall. Particular congratulations to our U15 Boys, who with 2nd overall were our highest placed age group team; and also to the League 2008 winners Yeovil. For full details of all results, including individual performances and age group team scores select from the spreadsheets below.

July&Aug.08: English School's Championships & Home Internationals: CONGRATULTAITONS to TAC members Izzy Jeffs, Robin Danahar and Charlie Maclean who all returned from the English School Champs with well deserved medals. Representing Somerset Izzy won Gold at English Schools in the U17 women's javelin event (43.30m), and Robin also taking gold in the U15 boys javelin (50.15m). while Charlie claimed silver in the U17M steeplechase in 4:26.9 [click here for full ESA results]. Izzy and Charlie went on to represent England at the International Schools event against Scotland, Wales and Ireland, with Izzy taking gold again (43.49m) in the javelin, and Charlie taking bronze in the steeplechase [Int. Schools Results]. At the UK Schools Games in Bath at the end of August Izzy and Charlie were part of the SW team, with Izzy throwing further still to crown of a golden season (47.72m) and Charlie coming in third in his event [UK School Games results].
