22/23 Sep 2012: SEAA Road relay results now available here. as well as in Atheltics Weekly. Swal2012Match1_JLSome brilliant runs by our TAC runners, not least Amelia Vance, Sophie Jones and Jess Brown on being 2nd fastest U13G team overall (among 63 club teams competing !), and U15 Boys team 12th of 43 teams. There were many outstanding individual performances also from our U17, U20 and older athletes, though with unfortunately incomplete teams on the day. More photos here.
Also on same 22/23 weekend Keith and Sharron took on the Poole Park run for first time whilst on holiday posting times of 18:36 and 24:07 respectively ..nice 'sunny day and flat course around a lake by all accounts. And well done to Mark Jones and Jochen Langbein on completing the Langport triathlon on the Sunday (no sun here !!!... the driest part was the swim by all accounts; but Mark still managed a course PB all the same !)

9 Sept 2012 The inaugral regular Longrun Meadow 5K (takes place first Sunday every month; less than 1/4M from our Castle Athletics track) was attended by several TAC runners ...Well done especially to one of our newest members - J18 Danny Doyle who, pushed on perfectly by Keith's pace-making achieved a great 20:06 time for his first ever timed 5K run; and then followed it up 3 days after with a 19:37 5K at Yeovilton. Long run results for TACs included Keith Paul 19.54; Danny Doyle 20.06; Harriet Rogers 20.11 & Rachel Langbein20:13; Joe Buck 23:49; Sharron Kington 24.29, Charlotte Fisher 25.29, & Jochen Langbein 25.59.

15 July 2012:
TAC Seniors.have had a busy few of weeks, with Annie Lillycrop and Suzi Griffiths heading to Martock 10k in times of 55.12 and 1.02 , followed a week later by a muddy Forde Abbey 10k in 69.14 and 82.07 respectively.

The Wellington 10 saw Mark Jones running the 10 Mile race in 1.15.50 , while Liz Pointing in her first race for the club ran the shorter (10k) race in 1.04 followed by Suzi race in 1.09.21. The same day the Quantock Beast 5.7 miles was blazing sunshine overhead, but a quagmire underfoot, making for very muddy runners and slower times to normal.. Keith Paul 11th in 44.51, Annabelle Lillycrop 58.53 and Sharron Kington 59.50. A day out at Boddington multi terrain 10k  near Cheltenham, was a successful one with Keith Paul in 2nd place in 39.18 and Sharron Kington in 50.56 in 20th.

Anyone interested in going to Exeter 10k (Thurs eve, 16th August) - fast flat traffic free course - see link here.

20 June 2012:
Well done to Mark Jones and Jochen Langbein who along with near 1900 entrants (but only 1300 finishers!) tackled the UK 70.3 mile half-ironman Triathlon at Wimbleball Lake on 17 June, reputed to be the toughest 70.3 Tri in the world! Both completed the mass-start 1.9K open water swim, followed by the hilly 56 mile bike route and 1/2 marathon run, and took large chunks of their previous years 'novice' PBs down by over 6 mins (Mark 6h19 in the M40-44 category) and by 26 minutes (Jochen 7h39 in the M50-54 category).

1 June 2012
Run in the Wild (27 May 2012) at Cricket St Thomas was tackled by Keith Paul in 49.45, Sharron Kington 1.06.15 (2mins quicker to previous time)  and Suzi Griffiths in 1.20.32 who announced that it was probably the hardest race she has ever done ...... and still came in smiling!

Ninesprings 9k held at Goldenstones, Yeovil recorded improved times on previous year by Keith Paul in 40.25 and Sharron Kington in 53.38. Actually closer to 10k than 9k , this off road, 2 loop course is challenging, but fun multi-terrain race.

Killerton parkrun , Bank Holiday Saturday morning hailed fine and warm, with 10 TAC members enjoying this super 5k route through the lovely National Trust Estate. There was a fine competition between the seniors, with the younger members leaving us in their wake.... Rowan Preece (U20) showing a clean pair of heels to the rest of the field in 16.27 (fastest male winner this year); while Rachel Langbein in 19:48 logged the fastest female U20 time for the event to date.

Wimbleball Tri 17th June 2012: Good luck Mark and Jochen this weekend. Hopefully this year both injury free and ready to take on the world and new PBs!
